Move over, Tinkerbell! There are new fairys in town.
The Fagget Fairys are here to get your feet moving and your ears tingling with big grimy bass lines, sensual vocals, and saucy Balkan styles.
Fagget Fairys is an explosive cocktail of Islam, lesbianism, true love, and relentless beats. Celebrated by the Palms Out Sounds blog and championed by Kenneth Bager, Fagget Fairys are sure to make your feet move and to put a smile on your face.
Yum yum…
When you hear the word cello, and you start thinking old tired brownish stringy instrument and classical appearence, that would be your first mistake. For starters, the cello is yellow and when Bird plays live she is accompanied by a funky Australian dude on supporting cello, and an always handsome dressed live human beatboxer. Downtempo catchy pop tunes with a completely unique sound.
Bird’s entire debut album is recorded with the use of only her cello. Even though it’s obvious that there are both bass, drums, several string arrangements and percussion; it’s all made by Bird’s cello and her soothing vocal.
