JSTAR and MC Honey Brown have struck gold with blends and edits of Reggae instrumentals & Hip Hop acappellas released on limited 7 inches. Having found their way into the bags and sets of every DJ worth their salt including Grandmaster Flash, Norman Jay and the late great John Peel, they have been causing a stir in clubs worldwide.

Mixing up Reggae inspired beats from fat Hip Hop to dirty Drum’n’Bass, vintage Ska to Soul, JSTAR and MC Honey Brown will mash up Copenhagen! A rare opportunity to meet a star – and to get down to the funkiest blends around.

Their first appearance was at the first iPod battle in Copenhagen in 2008 where they got the second place. Since then they’ve tried to play, produce and remix themselves out of the trauma of not getting the 1st place.

This has lead to gigs in Paris, Seoul and Eindhoven apart from the regular gigs in Copenhagen.

Recently, Sunnybeach Happyslap Mardigras remixed Bli’ Glad’s ‘Skinke med Laksko’ and released their second mix, ‘UGANDANCE Vol. II’, but are also active making their own tracks for an upcoming EP. The style that Sunnybeach Happyslap Mardigras are currently spinning is often described as Bass, Electro-house, B-More or Midget House (Minimal Fidget House).
