We finish off the run-up to RAW 2012 with a banging House set by our good friend Rasmus Backhaus, taken from a live set earlier this year in Barcelona. We can't wait for tonight - RAW 2012 at Docken!
Sly Nein is a real underground aficionado. When we met him last year, he criticized our booking profile - so we challenged him to make it better, and got him to book the deep end of the Techno line-up for this year's RAW. Now go check out his mixtape. Its bloody amazing.
He's a longstanding don of the drum'n'bass scene here in Denmark: a skilful DJ with appeal and good vibes, always with a smoking hot selection on the decks and on the famous Christiania Radio. Big up man like DJ Breakfast - also DJing 'longside the crew with Bobby Six Killer and MC Black Daniels on Saturday's RAW 2012!
Needless to say, MHM One's DJ skills should be experienced rather than read - which is why we're happy to have him on this year's RAW Tapes selection AND on the line-up for RAW 2012 on Saturday. However, his style is perhaps best described as pulsating, quality selections of house and techno placed somewhere at the deeper end of the spectrum. This is a DJ who pays the DJ profession the respect it deserves while never getting self-important about it. Moreover, he’s currently a regular DJ at Copenhagen’s renowned techno stronghold, Culture Box, and he holds an international residency at the inimitable Berlin club Zur Wilden Renate.
Give it up for a true aficionado!
This minimix will tear you apart. Big up Phase5 of the WhyNot crew, presenting Arena 4 at this year's RAW featuring Roska, Om Unit, Slick Shoota, Eloq, Julius Sylvest, Phase5, DJ Graded, Juice and Cheff Recordings Dancehall All-Stars featuring Raske Penge, TopGunn, Klumben and SukkerLyn!
Here it is: the first RAW Tape of the year, mixed by none other than our local House hero, FLIP! On this first day of proper summer in Copenhagen, it cannot be more timely. Enjoy.
